Happy Friday (or should I say FRIYAY!) everyone! Today, I am excited to post my weekly styling segment around a piece that every woman needs in her wardrobe, yet can be hard to find: the flat. Flats are one of the toughest things for me to buy because they can be even more uncomfortable than heels and can look a bit dowdy. However, I found the perfect pair from DSW that are edgy and right on trend for the 60's inspiration this season. Plus they are super comfortable and were less than $30! Below you can see them, as well as my tips on how to style a brightly colored flat for the spring:

1. Wear the flats with an all black ensemble. If you're like me, then you probably wear black all winter long and are having a hard time adjusting the spring's brighter hues; however, adding just a pop of color from a pair of flats makes the seasonal transition much easier and more fun.

2. Pair the flats with your favorite work look. I'm a girl that loves and lives in heels most of the time, but your feet need a break every now and then. Colored flats still look fashion forward and can be the perfect accent to your work wardrobe.

3. Trade out your casual sneakers on the weekends for colorful flats. Sneakers are having a huge moment right now with the athlesiure trend; however, if you're wearing white jeans or even a casual dress, then colorful flats are sure to tie the look together and make it more sophisticated.

4. Go for a monochromatic look. Wear shades of blue, whether they be light blue, navy, or cobalt, head to toe to make a streamlined effect. If you find a flat in a different color, the adjust the colors accordingly.
