The name says it all!  Michael Jordan's Steak House is known for serving up delicious steaks, but their rotating, seasonal menu items are just as mouth-watering.  I recently visited their 505 N Michigan Ave. location and sampled a few new items, now featured on their lunch menu.

For starters, the colossal crab cake is a must try!  Served with Meyer lemon aïoli, it was so moist and flavorful - no filling bread crumbs.  Definitely, the best crab cake I have had in Chicago!

Another tasty pick for starters is the Neuske's double smoked bacon.  Yes, that's right, a plate of bacon!  Committed to staying true to a farm-to-table, Michael Jordan's works with local farms and suppliers whenever possible.  In fact, the maple syrup used to glaze the bacon strips for this dish is brought in from Burton Indiana!

Moving onto the salad offerings, MJSH lets you customize your own recipe!  Guests can choose from arugula, chopped vegetables, spinach, caesar or cobb as the base of a salad, and then chicken, filet medallions or seared shrimp to top it with.

For the main course, I sunk my teeth into the infamous prime delmonico, USDA Prime, dry-aged 45 days, ginger-balsamic jus.  While it is the highest priced offering on the MJSH lunch menu, it is well worth the experience of tasting what a real steak should be.

No meal at Michael's would be complete without dessert!  The 23 layer chocolate cake is a dream come true for your sweet tooth.  It's big enough to share, but so good you'll want to keep it all to yourself!

Next time you find yourself on Michigan Avenue and craving some amazing food, make sure you check out these new menu offerings, and more at Michael Jordan's Steakhouse.  And, hey, no judgment here if you just stop in for a piece of cake!
