If you're looking for something fun and local to do next weekend in Chicago, make sure to check out the South Loop Coffee Fest. Organized by the amazing team over at L&A Healing Studio, the event combines the best in local coffee shops and artisanal merchandise from all around the Chicagoland area.

If you haven't checked out L&A Healing Studio, here is a run down of this innovative South Loop shop. Launched by the creative healing duo: Leo Gonzalez and Alex Agudo, L&A Healing studio is a new concept boutique, which combines massage therapy, art therapy, and of course retail therapy. L&A offers an array of therapeutic and healing services including: massage therapy, pilates classes, yoga classes and art therapy classes along with summer camps focused in similar areas aimed towards the young ones in your life.

Leo has been a licensed massage therapist for the past 8 years. With certifications in over 10 different types of massage modalities, it's only fitting for him to bring his passion to the people of Chicago through the opening of L&A Healing Studio. As a native Chicagoan and current masters student of Oriental Medicine (acupuncture and herbology), he is hoping to touch the lives of many through these alternative styles of healing. Alex brings a special perspective to the L&A Healing studio.  With over 12 years of experience within jewelry making and teaching, it was time to find a home for his work, where he could share the knowledge of art therapy. L&A is the perfect transition and combination of the skills, experience and talent of these two individuals.

The studio is a beautiful expanse of a space that is at once calming yet inspiring. The space is filled with beautiful work from the team, students as well as sellable artisanal handmade merchandise that was painstakingly curated by the L&A team. If you're interested in visiting, next weekend will be the perfect time to check it out as well as experience a fun event that supports local businesses in the South Loop.  L&A Healing Studio is hosting the first annual "South Loop Coffee Fest" on Saturday April 16, 2016.

L&A Studio has invited Coffee shops from different neighborhoods from around the city, to showcase their amazing coffee and other house specialties. You cam also enjoy wonderful artisan made goods inspired by or featuring coffee.
