It is that time of year readers! The time of year where you wait til the last minute or plan long and hard and still freak out about what to get your dad for Father's Day. Ok - so first off - Father's Day shouldn't just be about material things, but it's always nice to show that number one guy in your life that he means something special to you. Whether it's taking him out for a hearty breakfast, cooking up something special for him, experiencing a fun adventure with him or just spending some QT with pops, finding the time to show you care should be the most important part of Father's Day Weekend.

At Halfstack, we're doing Father's Day in style this year. We put together a quick and stylish gift guide filled to the brim with some of our fave brands and items that we are sure your dad will find useful, enjoy or just get a kick out of. Keep reading for a rundown of these looks and the brands featured.

When it comes to shopping for dad, picking out the perfect gift can be daunting. What do you get the guy who has everything or a pops that's a bit picky? Keep it simple. Don't over think it, find things you know dad will enjoy OR things that you know will be helpful to him. When it comes to fashion options, you don't have to go all out and get a full look - find accessories that add to his style, but that can make his life easier. Items like socks (yes socks), shoes, wallets and other accessories are great simple purchases for dad. Who doesn't need a good and stylish pair of work socks? In this look - we are featuring Rejuva compression socks and Lem's newest pair of Mariner's - the Sonora styled with pair of classic levis' in a dark wash cuffed for just a bit of casual cool.

Rejuva is a brand of compression socks that adds a fashionable statement to a functional product used to benefit your health. Compression therapy refers to the benefits gained from the use of specialized stockings or bandages in the management of chronic venous disease and lymphedema. Individuals suffering from chronic venous disease (often called insufficiency) present with leg complaints of fatigue, heaviness, and aching. After suffering a blood clot on a plane at just 21 years old, founder of Rejuva, Kelsey Minarik's doctor prescribed support stockings as part of her recovery. She immediately began wearing them and quickly fell in love with the relief they provided. Yet, she couldn’t stand the way they looked! Inspired by her own experience, she was inspired to launch a line of compression socks in a variety of fashion forward styles and patterns. These socks are good for dad's health and look great too. We paired the Argyle Smoke pattern with dark denim and a classic boat shoe from Lems for a fun pop of color.

Lems is another great brand to check out for Father's Day. We featured this line of minimalist shoes in a "Meet the Brand" Post with an interview with their founder this past spring. You can read it HERE. Lems is great for the dad who is a runner or who is looking for a comfortable shoe. This collection of ultra-minimalist, zero drop, naturally shaped shoes offers both comfort and style. All Lems Shoes are built on a zero-drop platform. Traditional footwear elevates the heel an average of 14-24mm (0.5"-1.0"). Elevating the heel throws off the alignment of the spine and forces an unnatural heel strike. Lems help alleviate strain on the lower back, and make you walk with a healthier mid-foot to forefoot strike.

In this shoot we featured the Lems Mens Mariner Sonora Boat Shoe. This is an incredibly comfortable light weight and dapper style. Paired with dark denim, the cognac color adds a fresh updated twist to a casual, but put together look. The boat shoes feature Lems' signature natural shape, wide toebox, and ultra-minimalist design. Due to the narrowness of shoes in today's market, most of people have experienced foot deformation whether they know it or not. Lems Shoes aims to fix the problems traditional shoes have caused with their natural shape. Lems Shoes can even be combined with Correct Toes toe spacers to help naturally spread the toes and cure many foot ailments including bunions, neuromas, and general foot numbness.

For the dad that's into the accessories we are featuring a roundup of items that are sure to please. We recently interviewed the founder of: Wurkin Stiffs - Jonathan Boos about launching and building his brand over the last ten years on our Podcast: Halfstack Highlights. You can listen to that episode HERE. Wurkin Stiffs is a line of men's accessories essentials designed for the, yeah you got it, "working stiff"- both blue and white collar workers who take pride in what they do. The brand truly takes pride in making their product better through design. They're best known for their magnetic collar stays - that keep a guy's collar down and looking sharp.

These collar stays, also known as "power stays" - are metal collar stays paired with powerful, yet discreet magnets that will keep your collar in place. All you do is insert your stays into your collar, place the magnets under your shirt and then position your collar to the desired placement. The stays feature airport metal detector friendly material, corrosion-resistant alloy and a hand-polished finish.
Money clips are a classic gift that any dad would appreciated. The Wurkin Stiffs money clip features a genuine blue carbon fiber inlay and is designed with an inverted pivot-point. The point (pun intended) behind this is that their springs do not bend at the curve. Rather, the clip opens at a lower angle, keeping your money secure in the clip no matter how much action it sees. They are designed to prevent over-stretching at the metal's curve, with an extra bend before the spring.

If your dad has had the same wallet for 20 years, perhaps this is the year to invest in an update for him. Wurkin Stiffs offers a modern take on a traditional fold over wallet. It looks good and it protects dad's information too! This leather RFID wallet features a thin alloy matrix fused between embossed Italian calfskin leather panels, blocking radio signals from your credit and debit cards to keep your personal information secure. It helps protects dad's credit cards from identity thieves by restricting the passport, credit and debit cards' Radio Frequency Chip from casting its signal while the wallet is closed.
For that traditional dad who is always writing things down, up the ante with a Blackwing pencil set. The Blackwing pencil was introduced in the 1930′s by Eberhard Faber and was the pencil of choice for Oscar, Grammy, and Pulitzer Prize winners throughout the 20th century. After it was discontinued in the 90's, writers and fans were paying as much as $40 a pencil for unused stock. It's a throwback to a simpler time. The Blackwing 602 has a firm and smooth finish and is perfect for writers and everyday use.

Last, but surely not least, a classic gift like cologne never goes out of style. Lacoste White is a great scent for a dad who is in need of a summer update to his cologne selection. This earthy scent based around cotton, fuses woody floral undertones with a pure clean feel that is reminiscent of the color and crispness of the very first Lacoste shirt. Pick it up HERE

Good luck on finding dad that perfect gift! If all else fails, remember just hanging out with pops or giving him a call letting him know you care is always the best kind of gift.
