Pitchfork Music Festival is literally right around the corner! Though I've been meaning to go to festival over the past few years, this year will actually be the first time that I'll be attending the three-day event. Knowing how great the festival's been in the past, I can't wait to see how this year will be.

In previous years, the festival's hosted some amazing artists, such as Beck, M.I.A, Kendrick Lamar, Animal Collective, and Bon Iver. This year's lineup also boasts of a ton of very talented musicians and bands. As a first time Pitchfork goer, here are some of the musical acts that I'm looking forward to seeing this coming weekend. Here are the top five artists that I can't wait to see at Pitchfork!

1. Beach House: I've been hooked on Beach House since I first heard their song "Norway" back in 2010 when they released their third studio album. The band has a dreamy, ethereal sound that is sure to cool down a warm summer night, perfect to end day one of Pitchfork.

(Beach House will be performing at Pitchfork on Friday at 8:30pm on the Green Stage)

2. Sufjan Stevens: Sufjan is one of those singers whose music I can listen to at any time or day to lift my spirits. His raw lyrics, soft voice, and delicate, folk-ish tunes bring me back to his songs again and again. Fortunately for those of us who love his music, he will be closing the second day of the festival!

(Sufjan Stevens will be performing at Pitchfork on Saturday at 8:30pm on the Green Stage)

3. Anderson .Paak & the Free Nationals: If you're like me and you want to relax to some chill music at the end of a long day at Pitchfork, I highly recommend that you check out this soulful R&B singer and producer. Anderson .Paak is a singer with a smooth and alluring voice who will be playing in the evening of Pitchfork day two. Luckily I (and you) will be able to see him at Pitchfork on Saturday!

(Anderson Paak will be performing at Pitchfork on Saturday at 7:45pm on the Blue Stage)

4. Neon Indian: Neon Indian is one of my favorite electronic-synthpop bands. Though I haven't seen them live in concert yet, I've heard tons of good things about the charming and collected lead singer and the amazing performance the group always puts on. The band is scheduled to play on the last day of Pitchfork.

(Neon Indian will be performing at Pitchfork on Sunday at 5:15pm on the Red Stage)

5. Shamir: Last, but not least, I'm also really looking forward to seeing the singer and songwriter Shamir at the Pitchfork. You might have noticed that most of the artists that I listed above are pretty calming and laid back. Shamir might be quite the opposite. Eclectic with a distinct, bubbly-pop sound, Shamir is sure to energize the crowd when he performs on Friday evening of the fest.

(Shamir will be performing at Pitchfork on Friday at 8:15pm on the Blue Stage)

And that's not all. There are so many other incredible artists that will be performing at Pitchfork Music Festival this weekend. Carly Rae Jepsen, Blood Orange, Twin Peaks, Jeremih, and FKA Twigs are among some of the other artists that I'm really excited to see! If you want to see the full festival lineup and schedule, you can check it out here.

Also, it's not too late to get passes for Pitchfork! Both 3-day passes as well as individual passes are still available on the official festival website. Get your tickets for Pitchfork here. Pitchfork will take place from July 15-17 at Union Park. Hope to see you all there this weekend!
