Back 2 School Block Party

River of Life and Tabor Church are joining forces in hosting their first Back 2 School Block Party in the Albany Park neighborhood. With all the recent negativity in the news of the increase in violence, it is nice to see that there are people and organizations willing to help their communities.

School is a very important part in a child's life. It is a place for growth and with that support and encouragement is needed. Thankfully ROL and Tabor have planned a family friendly day full of activities and events for the community to come out and meet each other in a positive manner. Together, as a team, they've realized that the neighborhood needs motivators and positive influencers in the children, youth and young adults of Albany Park.

The Back 2 School Block Party is on August 13 and starts at 12pm and ends at 5pm at 3542 W. Sunnyside Ave, Chicago, IL 60625. It will have several activities for kids of all ages, even those young at heart. There will be many artistic presentations such as dance, mime, skits and songs throughout the day. Also, there will be face painting, games, sing alongs and prayer stations. The prayer station tent will be available at all times with leaders ready to pray for any need.  It's a time where kids will be free to be kids in their own neighborhoods!
