Hello all! I hope everyone's week has gone by quickly and that you are ready for a hot and humid Chicago weekend. Even though this weekend is going to be a warm one, the summer, unfortunately, is slipping between our fingers as we speak. However, do not fret when it comes to transitional dressing; I am introducing a piece to you that you can wear from now into the fall. This piece is a blue asymmetrical skirt. While this skirt is blue, you can choose an asymmetrical skirt in almost any color and apply these 5 styling tips to make this garment a part of your look:

1. Play with proportions. Since the silhouette is fitted, you can play with proportions up top by wearing something cropped and/or more dramatic.

2. Mix it up with prints. If you choose a skirt in a solid, why not add a fall ready print? Anything vintage inspired will do the trick by contrasting the modern vibe of the asymmetry.

3. Choose the right shoes. For now, try this skirt with a heeled sandal and for later pair it with a cool pair of fringe ankle booties.

4. Go for minimalism. If prints and colors are not really your thing, then incorporate solid pieces in cool textures, such as leather and suede.
