How to Style: Pearl Statement Necklace

Hello everyone and happy Friday! I am excited to start this weekend off on the right note with this How to Style article! Today, I am showing you a variety of ways you can style a pearl statement necklace into your wardrobe. These pearls are not the ones from way back when, instead they are updated with an edgy twist. Look for chain details, fringe, and even leather accents for a cool-girl take. Below you will find my 5 tips for adding one of these necklaces into your look:

1. Stay Classic. This statement is very similar to my signature "Stay Classy!"...what I mean by this tip is to revert to classic pieces. For example, a white button down and denim gets a whole new life thrown at it when you add a pearl necklace, such as the one above.

2. Go for full-on edge. Pair this necklace that is 1 part feminine and 1 part edgy with garments, such as a leather dress, leather shorts, or embellished skirt.

3. Pair with solids. You can wear a patterned skirt or pants with this necklace, as long as you wear a solid on top, since a necklace like this one can be overwhelming when put right next to a print.

4. Try a twist. Since the necklace is a classic with a twist, why not try a look that's unexpected?! Add this necklace to more casual looks for a bit of a shake up.
