"After the show, it's the afterparty, then, After the party, it's the hotel lobby," no one said it better than Hov himself on the Fiesta remix. Last week Lollapalooza steamrolled through the Windy City, and I pinpointed the five things that made Nylon's after party epic.

Leave it to Nylon to sponsor the most noteworthy Lollapalooza after party. Last Thursday after musical heavyweights J.Cole, Lana Del Rey, and AlunaGeorge shut down the city, festival goers did not want to end the fete. Lucky for them your favorite fashion mag had a part two ready.

1. Location- The first rule of real estate and after parties are LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! This one just happened to be perfectly positioned in the Virgin Hotel off North Wabash. This was a short walk and an even quicker cab ride from Grant Park. The best perk is if you were actually staying there, the only thing that stood between you and a bed after too many Stillhouse shots- was an elevator ride. Which brings me to my next point...

2. Booze -If the event isn't sponsored by spirits brands, DO NOT GO! This one got Louisville's Stillhouse Whiskey to back it. Gorgeous ladies donned scarlet smiles and shot glasses filled with five variations of this gluten free drink. Apple Crisp, Peach Tea, Coconut, Mint Chip, and Red Hot were the flavors offered as a pleasant savor before the smack of a whiskey burn. My personal poison- Peach Tea.

3. More Music- Special Performances by Dua Lipa, HÆLOS and Jarryd James and DJ sets by Leslie Kirchhoff kept this affair swaying all night long. English model turned songbird Dua Lipa's raspy vocals coated the room as she performed her smash hit "Hotter Than Hell." Jarryd James concluded the performances spreading chill vibes all around.

4. Chill Crowd- Nylon perfected the art of casting a crowd. There was no shortage of celebs like reality star and model Margaux Brooke in attendance. Yet they partied amongst us mortals unbothered. The younger sets brought energy while middle-aged and beyond crowds brought regality. A mix so superb that it gave Chex run for its money.

5. Distractions- You are drinking, you are listening to music, then you are bored. That was not the case last Thursday. Not into the tunes? Have a mini photo shoot and then send it to every platform. Equinox had a paper fan customization station spearheaded by talented graffiti artist, Brendan Cooney. This way when festivalgoers were burning in hell at Lolla they could use their one-of-a-kind artwork and reminisce over the great night they had.
