This year was filled with a lot of firsts!  One of them was trying paella for the first time, which was so delicious.  Now, I am hooked on taste testing the best, authentic Spanish food in Chicago!

You can imagine my excitement when I heard that modern Spanish cuisine restaurant, Salero, located at 621 W Randolph St., launched their new menu.  Designed to be enjoyed family-style, the new menu features a selection of Pintxos, Tapas, and desserts.

Salero has also expanded beyond its Paella Tuesday offerings to two new Paellas each week!  Now Paella Mixta is a menu mainstay, made with bomba rice, Manilla clams, chorizo shrimp, mussels, chicken, saffron, roasted peppers and lemon aioli.

Here is a look at some of the tasty dishes you can now enjoy at Salero!

Combine seafood and Spanish recipes together, and that sounds like a heavenly match to me!  The grilled octopus was phenomenal, as well as the sardines.  But, when you try out Salero's new menu for yourself, I of course highly recommend the paella.  It's big enough to share with 3 to 4 others, but so good you wont want to!
