It has only been a little over a week since Donald Trump has taken the position as President of the United States and many people have been protesting across the country. Some of the individuals that have protested are artist; one being David Datuna. He has been redefining and creating what it means to be an American in today’s world in addition to expressing freedom and cultural identity through his art.
Back in November he displayed both great art pieces “Portrait of America” and
“Make America Stronger which shows the American flag with hands stretched out with the letters SOS highlighting the state of the country. The second piece of art has mannequin hands that has the American flag with hands spelling out the one “one” which was displayed on the steps of the Trump Tower in New York City.
