An Andersonville favorite, Jerry's Sandwiches recently opened a second location in Lincoln Square.  Located at 4739 N Lincoln Ave, the new restaurant fits in perfectly with the cozy storefronts of the square. I had the opportunity to visit the new location and sample some of their most popular and new items! I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and size of their menu, especially the craft cocktail offerings.

After ordering a few drinks to start off, I moved onto the appetizers!  I'll admit, I am a bit of a cheese snob when it comes to cheese curds - if it's not white, Wisconsin cheese, I'm not interested!  I am happy to report that Jerry's made a perfect first impression with these delicious nuggets of goodness!

Of course I also got my hands on some of Jerry's infamous sandwiches!  The best part, all sandwiches come with your choice of two tasters of their sides offerings.  I ordered the mashed potatoes with poblano gravy, Szechuan peanut pasta, mac and cheese and potato salad - everything was so tasty!  If I had to pick a favorite though, I would have to say I liked the pasta salad the best, since it was so unique.

And finally, no dinner at Jerry's would be complete without indulging in one of their tantalizing desserts!  Their most popular sweet treats are their Super Sundaes, featuring your choice of Scooter's custard.  There are three different types of sundaes to choose from; warm toll house with dark chocolate sauce, warm bourbon-pecan bar with caramel whiskey sauce and lemon bar with berry sauce. Is that sweet tooth aching yet?

Next time you find yourself on the North side of Chicago, and craving a home style meal, you now have two great restaurants to choose from.  When it comes to Jerry's, it's true what they say, two is better than one!
