This band is going places! Not only do I mean they are on the road a lot, which they are. They are set to perform 38 headline tour dates + 17 cities with the Lumineers, as they rampage across the country over the next couple of months.
They are also extremely well received by audiences, having made their television debut on the CBS morning show last Saturday.
SUSTO, led by front man, Justin Osborne, is at the leading edge of a new wave of music and consciousness. Their sounds amplify an honest and sympathetic vibe inviting listeners to connect to the exquisite beauty this life holds, even in the midst of its difficulties.
Osborne began making music when he was fifteen with a childhood dream to turn it into a career. Staying true to himself and his commitment to follow the music, the dream became a reality when his self-titled debut, SUSTO, was released in 2014 and the band began to tour relentlessly.
Their new album, & I’m fine Today, which was recently released via Caroline, has taken their sound even further. Introducing layers of sighing keyboards, galloping rhythms, and frayed noisy guitar solos, along with lyrics that examine accepting yourself and your unique place in the universe.
In case you are wondering, SUSTO is a Spanish word that Osborne learned as an Anthropology student, meaning “when your soul is separated from your body.”
