Spring is nigh and that means wedding season is upon us. Whether your guy has popped the question or not, the first annual Macy’s Bridal Expo is a feast for the eyes. Vendors come from all around the city to show off their trade and entice newlyweds to chose their services for their big day.

Macy’s downtown State Street location was home to this event that featured a dazzling fashion show by Demetrios of Demetrios Bride. Macy featured its most captivating gowns and tuxedos on statuesque models to provide major wedding inspo. Modern brides looking for more streamlined cuts were catered to along with more traditional tulle-infused styles. Hair and makeup for the show were my favorite aspect including a berry stained lip by Fashion Fair on a cropped cut model.

Following the show sampling of wedding cake kept of taste buds buzzing. Lezza Spumoni & Desserts wowed attendees with her selections of pastries. The wedding cakes and sweet tables provided by this shop based out of Elmhurst, Illinois we astronomical. My personal favorite was the red velvet selection that managed to combine rich flavor with a creamy texture flawlessly.

Virginia Wolff designed the theme of the event in a glamorous, romantic essence. Blush tones were complemented by metallics and provided a fresh take on wedding decorations.

In case couples were feeling overwhelmed by a number of ceremonial options presenting themselves, Macy's offers a service for that. My Stylist provides personal shopping professionals who will listen to your vision and find the Macy products that match your dream wedding, reception, or honeymoon needs.

This expo was also a heavy reminder of all the event spaces like the Walnut Room that the Macy's on State Street has that can easily transform into the premier place for your special day.
