The era of disco is infamous for many things.  Some good - light up dance floors, afros, ABBA.  And some not so good - like metallic, high-waist bell bottoms. Can anybody really pull those off?

Luckily, new restaurant and cocktail bar, Rhyme or Reason brings only the best of the 70's to Wicker Park,1938 W. Division Street, featuring mid-century modern interiors, vibrant street art and live music!  They also offer an amazing, globally-infused menu, created by Chef de la Cueva.

My favorite feature of Rhyme or Reason is their amazing Happy Hour offerings!  Monday through Friday, from 4pm to 6pm, you can enjoy craft cocktails, select wines and Prosecco for just, wait for it...$5!

Rhyme or Reason's Happy Hour menu also features lite bites for just $5.  The good news is, there is nothing lite about what they are serving up! The portions are practical for such an amazing price and everything is super tasty.  I should know - I literally tied everything on the menu! No regrets.

The Buff Pizzette / stone oven pizza, buffalo mozzarella, crushed san marzano tomatos, basil

Fried oysters with bacon aioli

House Fries

Lamb Sliders / feta cheese, harissa sauce

Wicker Park Pizzette / stone oven pizza, grapes, goat cheese, Italian sausage

Shrimp Ceviche / house made pico de gallo citrus juice

And just in case you need another reason to check out Rhyme or Reason, they just announced that they are now doing brunch!  On Saturdays + Sundays, from 10:30am to 3:00pm, you can enjoy a selection of both classic and innovative offerings.  I have yet to try this new menu, but I can't wait to go and check out the Chicken and Dounuts, and eat my weight in $1 oysters!

Whether it's the freakin' weekend or you are looking to boogie down on a budget for a fun week night out, Rhyme or Reason is the place to be this summer!
