California fire service says there are “multiple victims” at the school with local media reporting two people have died in the shooting. 

A teacher is said to be among the victims. 

Local media says the shooter may still be on site at North Park Elementary School in San Bernardino. 

Students at nearby Cal State University have been asked to stay indoors as police surround the area. 

Two other schools in the area are on lockdown. 

The San Bernardino County Fire Department said on its Twitter account the shooting has left multiple gunshot victims. 

San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan added in his own Twitter post: "We believe this to be a murder suicide. Happened in a classroom. Two students have been transported to the hospital."
