Bayern Munich lost the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final 2-1 at home to Real Madrid last night.
After going ahead through Arturo Vidal, Ancelotti’s side were reduced to 10 men when Javi Martinez was sent off and Cristiano Ronaldo bagged a double.
Vidal also missed a penalty for the Bundesliga giants.
Despite the defeat, Ancelotti isn’t giving up hope.
Reflecting on his side’s performance, the Italian tactician said: “The small details were decisive today.
“We missed the penalty, we conceded the equaliser early in the second half. The sending-off changed the match completely.
“We controlled it in the first half but didn't make the most of our chances.
“Going a man down didn't make it easier to say the least, but we still did quite a good job.
“We now have six days until the second leg.
“We still have 90 minutes, and we'll give it everything. We're still alive as they say in Italy."
Bayern face Real in the second leg on Tuesday (7.45pm).
