Over the past several years, students from The Illinois Institute of Art- Schaumburg have hosted their annual fashion show in efforts to raise funds for charity. The students work throughout the quarter to create an aesthetically pleasing and entertaining experience for all attendees. Students plan and make all the decisions from choosing the theme, the staging, the models, the hair and makeup for models, the styling of garments, managing the budgets, and promoting the event through different medias.

This year's theme focuses on the changes seen worldwide which is why the show is titled A.R.T. The name stands for Ascend, Rise, Transcend and they are words that represent the strength the millennial generation along with other generations have had to overcome the recent changes within the country and worldwide.. The overall theme for this fashion show production is adaptation, and it is also an opportunity for the students represent their generation. A.R.T 2017 will also focus on the progression in fashion and how much the industry has changed with the use of reinvention, sustainability, and innovation.
